Melissa and I lived on Sapelo Island Georgia for about six years before moving to Asheville. One of my favorite photography locations was a place on the mainland called Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge in Townsend, GA. It's an old US Military airfield that is slowly being taken back by nature. There are several ponds with nesting birds, waterfowl, snakes, alligators and lots of bugs!

This set of photos was from a visit back to the coast in September of 2016. I have many other sets of photos from the refuge which I'll share in the future. Enjoy!
